The documentary ‘Zoom Zoom’ – The Professor did not only attract sports personalities, it also got the attention of some entertainment personalities. Actress Nadia Buari and Ama K. Abebrese were among the celebrities to donate to the Azumah Nelson Foundation last Saturday at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra.
The MC of the night Ama K. Abebrese who is casted to feature in the movie ‘Sinking Sands’ by Leila Djansi, the director of the hit movie ‘I Sing of a Well’ kicked off the donation train by giving out 1,000 Ghana Cedis. ‘Check Mate’ actress Nadia Buari also gave 1,500 Ghana Cedis.
The organizers of the ‘Zoom Zoom’ – The Professor documentary at the Silver bird Cinema auctioned some of the DVDs after the premiere. The organizers seek to raise USD$23,444,960 to build Athletic tracks, Swimming Pools, Basketball & Tennis Courts, Chapel, Dining Hall, Primary & Secondary Schools, Sports Medical Centre, Student Hostels and Staff Apartments at the Azumah Nelson Sports Academy which is located at Akuse, Ghana.
The total of 13,415 Ghana Cedis was raised. Some of the people who donated were Atukwei Okai, Richard Darko, Paul Hug, Kwaku Boateng, Sammy Captan, Rev. Adu Bonsu and etc.
Azumah Nelson Foundation is a non profit, non regions, non partisan organization to develop and inspire less privilege young people.
Also Nadia Buari was spotted wearing a “promise ring”. Can you read my mind? Hold it. You never can tell, lets cross our fingers, Nadia might follow Castro and Samini in a secret nuptial.
