Ghanaian Artistes Will Not Perform In South Africa If Their Balances Are Not Paid

The concert put together in partnership with FIFA and PinkraMedia has been postponed to Sunday after the Black Stars of Ghana versus Serbians match. The reason for the postponement is simple, the various Ghanaian artistes billed to perform on the night such as Mimi, Samini, KK Fosu, Kwaw Kese and Obrafour boycotted the event.

The reason for the boycott is that their balances due them has not paid. The contract they signed stated that balances would be paid before the show and this has not been met.

GhanaCelebrities.Com is reliably informed that the were reported screen of chaos at the venue. FIFA TV and other TV stations were said to be at the venue to do their job but the Ghanaian artistes ‘cared less’ because their contracts were breached.

Some of the organizers are believed to have spent the money FIFA put in the organization of the concert. Though the show is rescheduled for Sunday, the Ghanaian artistes have categorically stated that, they will not mount the stage if their balances due them are not fully paid.

The concert dubbed World Cup celebration was earlier on slated on the 10th of June 2010 just after the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, Ghana’s Black Stars will commence their campaign with the Serbians on the 13th June, welcome the Australians on the 19th and slot it out with the Germans in the last group match on the 23rd of June.

Ghana is in group D alongside Serbia, Australia and Germany.
