DUST: Free Magazine Launched

Dust Magazine

Dust Magazine

DUST, a new informative, interactive and free magazine has been launched. Dust is an Accra magazine, about Accra, by Accra for Accra and its set to tackle issues in Accra and around Accra says the Editor-in-Chief.

In a short corporate ceremony, Madam Hannah Tetteh, the honourable Minister for Trade and Industry after a short speech duly declared the magazine fully launched at the Novotel Hotel in Accra last Wednesday.

In her turn, the CEO and Editor-In-Chief of the magazine Victoria Crystal Svanikier in her speech underscore what they hope to achieve with the magazine. Also the mayor of Accra Dr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije who doubles as the chair for the launch added his voice and promised to support the magazine.

Why ‘Dust’? Because they plan to be everywhere. Dust is a substance which can be found everywhere from the top of the most expensive cupboard in a penthouse suite to the bottom of a poor woman’s feet. They want the magazine to do the same. They are not trying to please everyone, but they want to represent everything about this great city of ours.

Dust is a quarterly magazine. The first issue of the magazine has three of Ghana’s musicians gracing three special front covers. They are M3nsa, Wanlov the Kubolor and Mzbel.

It also has interesting columns; such as Sports, Interview, Articles, Sex & Relationship and Freestyle as well as short story competition for writers who wants their writings to be published in the magazine to win to win prizes.

The maiden edition also features Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s speech at the night of Ghana’s birth and has a lot of interesting and informative articles about Ghana’s significance in the global pop culture.

The 58 pages magazine is free so it offers opportunities to the companies to take advantage of this and place advertisements, which will bring instantly results.
