The name Amanda Jissih commands a lot of respect in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. She is excelling in a male dominated field. She is a producer, a presenter, a host, an emcee, an actress and a singer.

These days for shows or events to be successful, or to have viewers or audiences keep that memorable feelings with them for a every long time, you need an experience, exciting and crowd pulling emcee to stir in the affairs of the program.

Ghana has had a lot of finest emcees pass through the ranks. Most of these emcees are males and there are relatively few of them still available doing what they enjoy doing best. At the opposite end, the numbers of the female emcee are multiplying at a fast pace. Gone are the days when females are looked down upon when it comes to hosting events.

One of such talent is born Amanda Jissih but nicknamed Mandy Jay. Amanda is a hard working lady; she is a radio presenter and hosts a program ‘All About Love’ on Hitz 103.7. Also Amanda is the producer for Joy FM’s Drive Time with Bola Ray and DJ Blacks Weekend Warmer, Open House Party and Joy Beach Jam.

One of the shows she produces on Joy FM have hosted all the international artistes who have graced the stage in Ghana including Jah Rule, Wyclef Jean, Eve, Beanie Man, Busta Rhymes, Mario, Guru, Fat Joe, Shaggy, Omarion, Jay Z.

As a TV presenter, Mandy returned from the UK with content for Beauty and Style, a show she presented on Metro TV and Pranic Healing on GTV, the station of the nation. She has made a lot of travels to work there or emcee a show or cover a program.

This offered her the opportunity to have and build a good working relationship with the likes of Rita Dominic, Tuface, Wande Coal, D’Banj and the likes. Her good rapport with the Nigerians made her being picked to emcee the City People Magazine Awards dubbed ‘Accra Nite of Movie Excellence’ took place at the Mirage Night Club where 30 Ghanaian and Nigerian movie stars, who have excelled in the movie industries of both countries were honoured.

City People Magazine is a popular Nigerian celebrity publication with wide readership in Nigeria and has introduced into the Ghanaian market. She is the acting president of Art Writers Association of Ghana (AWAG).

Amanda has a huge thing going on for her, a round face, good sets of teeth, charming looks, pointed nose, crazy eyes and when she speaks; one has no option than to turn to see who owns that relaxing and sexy voice. The best thing I believe to happen to Amanda is her beauty.

Amanda co-hosted City People Magazine Awards with a news reader at Metro TV. Also done PR work for South African and Nigerian musicians. In Nigeria, mostly Mo Hits Records.
