Echo Pens Down Two Years Deal With UK Based Label ‘Leo Boy Entertainment’

Echo has officially signed on a two-year deal with a UK based label, Boy Entertainment Leo. This was celebrated with a short ceremony at the pool side of the Wangara Hotel in Labone.

As part of their prizes for winning the Nescafe African Revelation in Ghana in 2007, Echo, an Afro-pop group was mandated to be handled by the Abraham Ohene Djan’s OM Studios for two years.

Echo is a rap duo which comprises of two young guys Charles Yeboah Danso and Elijah Owusu Danso. Charles hails from the Eastern region and Elijah hails from Guan in the Volta region of Ghana.

Echo are one of the only few Ghanaian musicians to have presence on Channel O radio countdown, represented Ghana at the West African finals of the Nescafe African Revelation.

Ghana’s rap doctor called from his base in Kumasi to wish the duo well for their new signing. He advised the duo not to lose the relationship with Abraham Ohene Djan.

He said “oh chale, I am very happy for you guys and I hope this new deal that you are signing turn to make you mega mega super stars”. And I beg you, as you all know, continue to treat Abraham as our senior brother, and please don’t lose the relationship, because he is a good man”.

Nescafe African Revelations

Nescafe African Revelations is a musical talent hunt, which seeks to discover and nurture young African musical talent, not only in Ghana, but throughout the West and Central African sub-region.

By way of reminder, Nescafe African Revelations is a local and sub-regional experience, which through serious yet fun competition, NESCAFE discovers celebrates and rewards young and fresh African musical talent.

The objective of NAR is to make young African musical talents known, both in their countries of origin and on a sub-regional level. This is NESCAFE’s way of rewarding its consumers and promoting its values of sociability, pleasure and open mindedness, its consumers and promoting its values of sociability, pleasure and open-mindness.

As part of the deal, William Adu Boateng, the CEO of Leo Boy Entertainment will officially unveil Echo as the face of his clothing line, Leo Wear.

The duo will release their new album soon but Shokoli, a track on the yet to be released album is already making waves.
