The list for the most-searched top 10 Ghanaian movie stars on Google had the dark skinned actress trailing the light skinned actress.
It was interesting and also surprising to hear that Nadia Buari is a step ahead of Jackie Appiah. At least it is a known fact that Jackie Appiah is the most loved Ghanaian actress.
Since GhanaCelebrities.Com has constantly being criticized and tagged as always favouring Jackie Appiah, we contacted Sparrow Productions to seek information on which the “movie selling power” of the two actresses (Buari & Jackie Appiah) as far as Sparrow is concern-Nadia.
Sparrow Productions used Jackie Appiah and Nadia Buari in the movies “Perfect Picture” and “CheckMate” respectively.
The question GhanaCelebrities.Com threw to Ken Attoh was “So which among the two faces sell more movies?”. “Well it depends who is watching or buying because they both have their market”, he answered. Mr. Attoh was quick to add that as a matter of fact, he knows Jackie is more popular and preferred than Nadia.
“I’m aware of the fact that, Jackie Appiah is more loved and more preferred actress to Nadia Buari. Contrary to their popularity, ‘Check Mate’ which had Nadia Buari sold more than ‘Perfect Picture’ which had Jackie Appiah. He said.
However, the lover man turned father of Shirley Frimpong Manso’s new baby was quick to debunk the notion when asked if Nadia Buari was the reason why the movie sold out.
“Of course not, the movie didn’t sell out because of Nadia, it sold out because of Sparrow Productions”.
