Congrats! Viasat1 Ghana Wins MTG United For Peace Cup In Norway

Right To Dream (RTD), the team which represented Viasat1 Ghana at the MTG United for Peace Cup in Oslo Norway made Ghana proud by winning the tournament.

The young lads had the opportunity to represent Ghana by winning a tournament dubbed ‘Peace United Football Tournament at Akrade, a suburb of Akosombo in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The two days tournament had 130 kids from 12 countries. Each of the representing teams also won a similar tournament organised in their various countries. The sole aim for the tournament brings the MTG companies which includes Viasat1 together.

As it was spelt out in the rules, the tournament was not only to play football but also for the kids to make new friends and learn more about team spirit, tolerance and social integration and at the end of the tournament this was achieved.

Right To Dream defeated Nomme United from Estonia to win the coveted trophy. Apart from winning cup, the team also won for themselves the ‘Fair Play’ award. They didn’t kick any player as they went there only to exhibit their talent and skills.

Team coach Andrews Farrant praised his team and wishes they can emulate the feat in subsequent tournaments. He said they will be looking for more tournaments in Europe for them to sharpen their skills.

He also hopes some of the players will represent Ghana in any of the national teams from U17 to the senior team.
