South Africa Legend Hugh Masakela will once again be the headliner for this year’s edition of the Kasapreko Africa Legends Night. The return of the self acclaimed ‘sit down’ comedian will definitely treat Ghanaian music lovers to a different tune of authentic music as he promises a memorable night with his much loved classics as well as some new releases from his current collections.
Uncle Hugh, as he is affectionately called captured the hearts of Ghanaians with his astounding performance last year and promises ‘another unforgettable experience’ this September 22nd at the State Banquet Hall. Last year’s edition of the Kasapreko African Legends Night saw an overwhelming patronage and innumerable pleas for an encore show.
General Manager for Business Development and Marketing at Kasapreko Company Limited, Gil O Real explained the intention behind Kasapreko’s bringing back of the Africa legend. ‘Bringing back Hugh Masakela as our headline star is in response to the clamour for an encore following last year’s overwhelmingly successful concert. This African giant will entertain the Ghanaian public in a unique and increasingly rare live performance. Last year was a ground breaking phenomenon. We decided to bring him back so patrons and entertainment enthusiasts can relive last year’s splendid experience again”.
He further touched on what people should expect at this year’s event. ‘This concert promises to be a memorable one with Hugh and it will come with an excellent line-up of supporting acts put together by our partner Global Media Alliance and the combination is guaranteed to relax, soothe and stimulate patrons’, he said.
To be hosted by Ghana’s finest satirist KSM, this year’s event will also feature saxophonist Steve Bedi, Lady May from Namibia, Ben Brako and Bertha.
