Adom FM Entertainment Host Replaces Afia Schwarzenegger In The Hit TV Series!

In the weeks to come, viewers of the hit television series ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ will no longer see the lead character Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa who played ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’.

She has been replaced by Emmeleine Nanahemaa Acheampong, host of Adom Billboard, an entertainment program on Adom FM.

The reason for her replacement is currently unknown but GhanaCelebrities.Com believes the latest scuffle between the producer of the show, Delay and the lead character is the reason why she has been replaced.

For now Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa will have to concentrate on her job as the spokesperson of the Kumawood Film Festival and Akoben Movie Awards.

GC Exclusive Interview With Nadia Buari: Talks About Her 2011 Ghana Movie Awards Nomination, Says She Has No Problem With Jackie Appiah, Talks About Dede Ayew & Fally Ipupa, Upcoming Family Reality TV Show & Others

Nadia Buari was awarded as Ghana’s Best Actress In A Supporting Role during last year’s Ghana Movie Awards. She got the nod ahead of her fellow actresses in her role in ‘Check Mate’, a Sparrow Production movie written and directed by Shirley Frimpong Manso.

Last Saturday in Golden Tulip, Kumasi, the nominees for this year’s awards were announced. She was nominated again in the same category for her role in ‘Who Owns The City’, a movie produced by HM Films and directed by Nollywood director Ifeanyi Inyeabor.

Also in the category includes Roselyn Ngissah [Somewhere In Africa], relatively new entrant Helen Asante [Adams Apple 3], Yvonne Nelson [4 Play Reloaded] and Martha Ankomah [Bed Of Roses].

Nadia who claimed she had come to just have fun and a good time, spoke with GhanaCelebrities.Com about her nomination again. She made interesting revelations about her that people do not know. She also talked about why her family is coming out with a reality show. She laughed at the rumour circulating that producers are not giving her roles…

GhanaCelebrities.Com: What do you think of your nomination?

Nadia Buari: [Surprise] I was nominated? For real? Oh wow. I was actually coming here just to have a good time. I had no idea… I’m coming. I’m now coming here. So here that I’m nominated, wow its good news. It makes me know that at least my works are appreciated.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Why are you surprised that you got nominated?

Nadia Buari: I don’t know. It’s not really about being surprised. I just wasn’t looking forward to it. My mind was basically opened. I was coming here just to have a good time. So it wasn’t really whether or not I was nominated.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Let’s talk about the Ghana Movie Awards. Do you sincerely think it has any future?

Nadia Buari: Of course. I mean … Come on; I think we are going far. I think in the past few years that we started; I think Ghanaian movies have actually gone international. Of course, we do have a future. I mean great future, great potentials.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: You won the best supporting actress in Ghana last year. We couldn’t get a time to talk to you about it. What do you have to say about it?

Nadia Buari: [Smiling] I was excited. I mean I was really humbled. I mean every award no matter what it is; you just have to be appreciative and I was really honoured that I got the award for Best Supporting actress in ‘Check Mate’.

GhanaCelebrities.Com:  People say Nadia Buari doesn’t talk. She doesn’t like the media. Can you confirm or deny that?

Nadia Buari: I hear that and it saddens my heart because I’m grateful to the media. I don’t think I would have done this far in my career had it not been for the media because they make my fans get to know my works and get to know who I am. However I think in the past few years, a lot of things have been written about me that are so not true. And it really hurts to know why people will just fabricate stuff and publish it to make my fans get a total different perception of who I am.

So for me, I think the less I comment on that, the better, that’s how come I stay away. And I think that if I going to concentrate on everything written about me, I wouldn’t be getting any work done. I got too much to do to be focusing on what being written, what article that is derogatory that is written about me.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Don’t think because you don’t talk to the media, that’s the reason why they go ahead to speculate about you?

Nadia Buari: You know what I think, a lot of time they publish the false stuff and then they come to me to try to correct that. My thing is why would you have to do that, you should consult me and let me let you know whether is the true or not before you publish it. So you already publish the false stuff, what is the warranty that the number of people that read the false stuff are the same people are going to read the correction. That’s why I just don’t bother.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: There is something going on in your family. Something like a reality show. Would you want to share a little info on that?

Nadia Buari: First of all I love my family. I love my siblings. The reason why we want to have a reality is because I think there is so much about me that the world out there don’t know, so that’s why basically and plus I got different characters in my family. We are crazy people and every time just sharing moment with them is a whole movie. So for us, we just thought, why not put whatever we do in doors out there so people can see how crazy people that we are.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: What’s your relationship with your fellow actresses? Be very honest.

Nadia Buari: Hmm! I’m going to be very honest. I got a very good working relationship with them. I don’t know what you mean relationship but I work with them because they are my colleagues and we share a very good relationship.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Okay! People say Nadia Buari has a problem with this actress or that actress. Can you clarify that?

Nadia Buari: I’m going to clear the air now. I do not have a problem with any of my colleagues. I do not have any problem. I might not be good friends with them but I just don’t have any problem with them. You might not see me hang out XYZ but that doesn’t mean that I have a problem with them. No.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: There is another rumour going rounds that, Nadia Buari is not getting scripts [roles] now. People are not approaching. How true is it?

Nadia Buari: You know when I heard that, I actually commented on that. I just thought it was really ridiculous. In the past few months … this whole year, I don’t think I have had the time to rest, I’m so busy I actually feel like one day, God forbid, I’m going to break down. When I heard that I laughed. For me it was one of those derogatory stuff, one of those cooked stuff, one of those fabricated stuff to still tarnish my image so to speak. I think the person who sent out that information should have checked to find out what I was really doing than to bring out something like that.

GhanaCelebrities.Com: Let’s talk about your relationship. People say you are dating Dede Ayew. They say you are dating DBanj and others say you are dating Fally Ipupa..

Nadia Buari: [Cut in] To comment that quick… if I should step out with a guy, automatically people assume I’m dating the person. It’s sad. I wonder why they do that. I went to the awards with Fally Ipupa, we walked on the red carpet, the next thing I’m dating him. Dede, I have no idea where that rumour is started from. In fact, if I should walk out with whomever in public, automatically, they assume I’m dating that person.

KNii Lante Releases New Music Video: ‘When You Love Some One’ Knii Lante Ft. Trigmatic!

The 2011 Ghana Music Award Winning Best Male Vocalist, and natural soul/reggae singer-songwriter-musician , Knii Lante, has released his second official video off his debut album ‘Love and Revolution’, entitled ‘When You Love Someone’.

The music video was shot at a residence in the Cantonments prime area of Accra and features the adventurous, Gerald, of the Adams Apples sequels as well as radio personality, Mandy Jay.
The music video was shot in HD by Accra based director Stanley Adjetey  of ‘Take 2 Films’.

Knii Lante’s influences stretch from classic Luther Vandross and Michael Jackson tracks to politically conscious Bob Marley tunes and even modern artistes such as Wyclef and Vybz Kartel.  Knii plays acoustic guitar and piano to his pleasure, and is a singer set to become one of the best African singers-songwriter- musician and an advocate of pan- Africanism.

Ghana Movie Awards 2011 Nomination List: Leila Djansi & Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s Movies Grab 21 Nominations Each!

The nominations for the 2011 edition of the Ghana Movie Awards were released at the nominations party last night at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi. The colourful event was graced by players of the movie industry and witnessed by various media houses including GhanaCelebrities.Com.

This year’s event looks well organised as the awards Jury has spread the awards to other nationals. You do not need to be a Ghanaian to be nominated; one is entitled for nominations if he or she features in a movie produced by a Ghanaian or from a Ghanaian production house.

Two of Ghana’s female movie makers Shirley Frimpong-Manso and Leila Djansi obtained the highest nominations. They each got 21 nominations each.

Leila had only a movie; ‘Ties That Bind’, whiles Shirley’s on-going movie series, ‘Adams Apple’ and last year’s hit movie ‘6 Hours to Christmas’ did the magic for her.

2011 Ghana Movie Awards Categorization

Leading Role
Best performance by an Actor or Actress in a Leading Role is presented in recognition of an actor/actress who has delivered an outstanding performance in a movie role for the period under consideration.  No single movie shall have both female and male leads; if the male is the lead, the female role would be considered as a Supporting Role and vice versa. In movies with more than one lead role, individual actors will not be nominated as a group but compete against each other based on their individual performances. No actor/actress can be nominated from more than one movie role in this category.

Supporting Role
Best performance by an Actor or Actress in a Supporting Role is presented in recognition of an actor/actress who has delivered an outstanding performance in a supporting movie role for the period under consideration.   A Supporting Role must be connected to the lead character or have a significant impact on the story of the movie. In movies with more than one supporting roles, individual actors will not be nominated as a group but compete against each other based on their individual performances. No actor/actress can be nominated from more than one movie role in this category.

Cinematography
Best Cinematography is awarded to a cinematographer for work in one particular movie.  The cinematographer is the individual who photographed with a motion picture camera and is responsible for achieving artistic and technical decisions related to the images in a movie. The winner for Best Cinematography is the movie with the most outstanding photography, the most effective use of light, appropriate and relevant camera shots etc.

Costume/Wardrobe
The Award for Best Costume Design is given out for the best achievement of film costume design for a particular movie. Costumes must be appropriate for the settings, roles, characters and theme of the movie. Films which are eligible for the award must meet a series of criteria, including the requirement that the costumes must have been “conceived” by a costume designer, and/or with supporting wardrobe selected from other sources.

Art Direction
The Award for Best Art Direction recognizes achievement in production design and/or set decoration. Art direction must be appropriate and functional for the setting of the movie.

Directing
The Award for Achievement in Directing (Best Director) is to the director of the movie that reflects the most outstanding technical and artistic performance; showing creative and coherent ways to tell the story with pictures, sounds etc. who working in the motion picture industry.  Only one individual may claim screen credit as a film’s director. This rule is designed to prevent rights and ownership issues and to eliminate lobbying for director credit by producers and actors. However, the Jury may create an exception to this “one director per film” rule if two co-directors seeking to share director credit for a film qualify as an “established duo”.

Editing
The Award for Film Editing is closely correlated with the Award for Best Picture and it is given to the editor of the movie with the best use of scenes and effects to tell a flowery and coherent story. Only the principal, “above the line” editor(s) as listed in the film’s credits are named on the award; additional editors, supervising editors, etc. are not generally eligible

Makeup
The Award for Best Makeup is given to the best achievement in makeup for film. Makeup must enhance physical attributes of characters and must be appropriate for scenes, setting and overall feel of the movie.

Original Score
The Award for Original Score is presented to the best substantial body of music in the form of dramatic underscoring written specifically for the film by the submitting composer.

Original Song
The Award for Best Original Song is presented to the songwriters who have composed the best original song written specifically for a movie or adopted for the movie. The performers of a song are not credited with the Award unless they contributed either to music, lyrics or both in their own right.

Best Picture
The Award for Best Picture is presented to artist who produced the most outstanding movie of the year.  The Award is considered the most important of the Awards, as it is the final award presented, and represents all the directing, acting, and writing efforts put forth for a film.

Sound Editing
The Award for Best Sound Editing is granted to a film exhibiting the finest or most aesthetic sound editing or sound design. The award goes to the movie that showed the best interaction between sounds, effects it its appropriateness for scenes and the overall story. The award goes to the person in charge of working and mixing the sound in the studio, including sound effects, sound collected from locations or set among others.

Visual Effects
The Award for Best Visual Effects is given to the movie that exhibited the most creative and believable visual effects. The award is based on consideration of the contribution the visual effects make to the overall production and the artistry, skill and fidelity with which the visual illusions are achieved.

Screenplay
The Award for Writing Adapted Screenplay or Original screenplay is given to the movie with the best story, best interplay and linking of scenes and overall narration of story. It is awarded to the writer of a screenplay adapted from another source (usually a novel, play, short story, or TV show but also sometimes another film); or for the best script not based upon previously published material. All sequels are automatically considered adaptations by this standard since the sequel must be based on the original story.

Cameo
The Award for Best Cameo is for an actor, industry professional or famous person who makes a significant short appearance in a movie either as an original character or as himself.

Discovery
The Award for discovery of the year goes to the new actor who distinguished him or herself in a breakthrough role. The role must be seen to have had a visible impact on his/her career, opening opportunities for him/her to receive other roles.

African Collaboration
The Award for Best African Collaboration goes to the best movie with two leads or main characters played by actors/actress from two different African countries. The Award for Best Africa Actor or Actress will go to a non-Ghanaian lead or supporting actor in any such African collaboration.

Favourite Actor
The Award for Favourite actor is a people’s choice award voted by the public from a list of nominees.
TV Series
The Awards for Best TV series and Best Actor/ Actress in a TV series are people’s choice awards voted by the public from a list of nominees.

Founder’s Merit Award
The winner(s) for the Founder’s Merit Award will be chosen by the Founder of the Ghana Movie Awards in consultation with the Jury from the list of winners in all award categories. The winner will be awarded for outstanding technical and/or artistic performance or contribution in the movie industry for the year in review. Winner(s) will have to be of good character, respected and accepted by his or her peers and the industry generally.

Daddy Lumba [DL] Silences Critics At ‘Legends & Legacy Ball’ 2011!

 

 

Daddy Lumba also known as DL a.k.a. Girls Prefect last Saturday at the Accra International Conference Centre proved his critics wrong with a vintage performance at the maiden edition of the ‘Legends & Legacy Ball’.

When he mounted the stage, he made sure that his critics who had shown their strong aversion towards him for one reason or the other went home fulfilled and happy with an unforgettable experience of a life time.
He mounted the stage with his ‘111666’ tune and got every soul at the auditorium on their dancing feet.

With 27 albums, from hit after hit, Daddy entertained the patrons. He got the patrons busy – their mouths sang, their legs danced and their hands clapped as he dished out song after song – hits after hits.


Surrounded by five dancers, they did what has been known as the ‘Lumba dance’. He managed to get the two presidents on the stage to dance when he performed ‘Aben Wo Ha’, his greatest track which won most awards at the maiden edition of the Ghana Music Awards in 2000.

Former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings danced her heart out as if she has already forgotten the heavy defeat President Mills meted out to her at the NDC congress in Sunyani. When Lumba was about to end the event, Nana Konadu requested for ‘Aben Wo Ha’ again.

Lumba performed it again to climax a successful event.

The event which was instituted to celebrate music legends in Ghana brought together high profile personalities including the two former presidents of Ghana; Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kuffour.

Also in the auditorium included the former first lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyemang as well as presentations from the two biggest political parties in the country who sat close to each other and danced together.

I will not dispute it if this show is rated as the best show in Ghana for 2011. It was a show that wasn't dragged needlessly. It was a 4-hour show. As has been with Ghana, shows don’t start at the advertised time. It is now a normal thing in Ghana isn't it? The late start did not actually take anything from the show.

It only gave Kwame Sefa Kayi, one of the MCs the chance to unveil the surprise package to the crowd. After announcing that, the two former presidents were in the building, the crowd went gay as the two Johns made a triumphant entry through the backstage to their seats.

The surprise was well received by the patrons judging by the clap and noise. The cheers from the patrons at this point were loud and unbelievable. At this venture, it was obvious which of the two main political parties each of the patrons belongs to, as they call them with their nicknames like ‘Papa J’, ‘Gentle Giant’ and the likes.

Shortly after, Daddy Lumba the man being celebrated made his way to the venue through the same way as the two Johns. He was sandwiched by them. He sat in between them. President Kuffour sat on the right, whiles the Rawlingses seated on his left.

Hip life trio, Rana opened the show. They performed two of the legends songs. They performed commendably. Their performance was electrified. It was terrific. Their dance moves was well choreographed. As the first performers on the night, they raised the bar. They set a standard for the subsequent performers.
After wowing and involving the patrons in their performance, gospel musician Philipa Baafi, Felix Owusu and

Kofi B followed in that manner to perform. There wasn't any dull moment. Even though there were times one felt that, indeed it wasn't the man himself performing, the patrons didn’t care enough as they continue to dance and sing with the performers.

One thing that cannot be taken away from this event is that, each artiste made sure they out-perform and silence each other.

‘Children of the future’, a song he composed to trumpet the message to the world that, certainly children are the future was performed by kids from selected schools. It was difficult to enjoy this particular performance because only the lead vocalist had a microphone. Yet the patrons care less. They continue to sing and dance.

After Nacy of No Tribe had imprinted his name as one of the best performers of the night, Daddy Lumba was presented with plaque from MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffour on behalf of his association. The organisers of the event, Imajin Advertising also presented a 24 carat gold chain. Their presentation was done by a representative from Voice Of America.

The chain was fixed around his neck by his godmother and former teacher Mama Acheampong. Lumba appeared most surprised to see his teacher of30 years. They hugged and shown emotions.

Kofi Nti and KK Fosu picked it from there. If the event was a competition, the former would have been judged as the best performer. He was the first performer to force the two former presidents out from their seats to dance.

It was reported that, Rawlings said he was the best president Ghana has ever had. Kuffour disagreed and said the comment was rather boastful. Rawlings party members replied Kuffour, calling him jealous for disagreeing with Rawlings' stand.

Though the fact that they danced together would not end the bickering and animosity between them, it was great as they shared dance together. It was a bold step taken. Whoever brought the idea of bringing the two men together have done a great job and needs commendation.

Now it was the turn of the only mad man in Ghana music. Kwaw Kese was announced as the next performer, many doubted his singing abilities. He proved them right. He came to perform, Lumba’s smash hit ‘Theresah’. Fortunately for him, he had the backing vocalist who sang the song.

Kwaw shouted when singing the chorus to tell the patrons that he was indeed singing. The patrons couldn’t help but laugh as they sang and dance. Kwaw Kese couldn’t sing yet he grabbed the highest applause on the night when he went straight and shook hands with the two presidents and asked them to reciprocate – which they did hurriedly.

After the attack and counter attacks last week, the two Presidents shook hands, courtesy Kwaw Kese. It was just beautiful.

He asked President Kuffour why he didn’t come to the event with his wife who is also called ‘Theresah’. He said since he performed the song titled the name of his wife, it would have been nice if she had been present. There was wild laughter after that comment.

Mzbel Mzbel Mzbel ... Can I call her the bad girl of Ghana music? She appeared pregnant in her simple outfit. She had a good show too. When performing ‘Asie Ho’, she asked ‘Am I allowed?’ if she can give Rawlings a lap dance.

I was a bit far, so I can’t tell if Nana Konadu gave her the go ahead. Praye and Castro followed after Mzbel. They didn’t disappoint either. The maiden edition of the ‘Legends & Legacy Ball’ was successful. I can’t wait for next year.

Musician A-Plus For Ghana’s Parliament?

 After organising the maiden edition of the Ghana Music & Food Festival, which has been tagged by many as the most promising event of 2011, Hip Life musician and comedian A-Plus has declared his intentions to run for parliament in 2012 General Elections.

He will be vying for the Gomoa East Parliamentary seat in the Central Region as an independent candidate. He made the above intentions known few hours ago via his facebook status. He writes:

“Ladies and gentlemen, I am here today to formally inform you of my decision to contest the Gomoa East parliamentary seat as an independent candidate next year. For those of you who wish I don’t enter into mainstream politics, I am sorry for the disappointment. For those of you who think it’s a good decision please give me your support. Its time for the youth to take over…….Cheers.”

Actress Nana Akua Addo Donates To Church-Affiliate Of Teshie Orphanage Home!

In June, actress Nana Akua Addo donated mixed items valued at several millions of Ghana Cedis to the Teshie Orphanage Home in Accra.

The actress mentioned that she donates to charity every six months. Over the weekend, she presented 3000GHC to the Temple of the Living God church at Baatsona Community 18 affiliated to the Teshie Orphanage Home.

She presented the money to the church at their annual harvest and thanksgiving service.

American Film Maker, Samad Davis Chases 4Syte Music Video Awards After Giving Ghana First Ever Award At Channel O Awards With ‘Dadie Kye’!

After directing a music video ‘Dadie Kye’ that won for Samini Ghana’s first ever award at the Channel O awards in South Africa, New Jersey based American film maker, Samad Davis is looking at winning an award at the 4Syte Music Video Awards 2011 slated for the Dome, Accra International Centre.

He is among the top music video directors whose music videos will be fighting for honours at the awards scheduled for Saturday November 19.

Samad directed six [6] of the videos which grabbed fifteen [15] nominations in ten [10] categories. His nominated videos include ‘Dadie Kye’, the video that won the ‘Most Gifted Ragga Dancehall Video Artiste’ for Samini at the 2011 Channel O awards in South Africa. Ghana’s first ever award at the Channel O.

Hollywood Feature Film ‘Bleeding Sunshine’ Stars Adjetey Anang, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Chris Attoh, Yvonne CherryL, Omar Captan, Amonobea Dodoo Among Others!

The best actors and actresses on the African continent have been brought together to feature alongside Hollywood actors in a new movie ‘Bleeding Sunshine’, which is set to hit the theatres soon. The production crew is expected to continue shooting in Egypt, Dubai and Israel.


The ‘Bleeding Sunshine’ movie talks about the “illegal trade of human beings for the purposes of reproductive slavery, commercial sexual exploitation, forced labour, or a modern-day form of slavery” called human trafficking.

The Hollywood feature film brings out a harrowing tale of a young Ghanaian girl [Suzzy Nabor] whose life is turned upside down when she is plucked from her humble fishing village and thrust into the gritty world of international human trafficking.

‘Bleeding Sunshine’ features a great array of African cast that includes Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Omar Sheriff, Amonobea Dodoo, Steven Kanumba, 2011 Pan African Best Actor - Chris Attoh, 2010 Zanzibar International Film Fest Award Best Actress -Yvonne CherryL, 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) Best Actor – Adjetey ‘Pusher’ Anang who plays the character called Captain Addo, a fisherman, the father of Suzzy, the little girl who was trafficked overseas.

Also playing key roles in this life touching movie written and directed by Hollywood based Ghanaian writer Yaa Boaa Aning, who holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is the reigning “(AMAA) 2011 Best Actress - Ama K.” together with Suzzy Nabor, Jasmine Baroudi, Lady Arafua and Katou among some South African and Nigerian casts.

The movie when completed will raise awareness about human trafficking and possible ways of combating it in Africa has commenced shooting in Ghana and will have the cast and production crew continue shooting in Egypt, Dubai & Israel.

Yaa Boaa completed her first 5 feature scripts. In 2009 she wrote and directed award winning short film, ‘The Prince of Venice’.  Other projects include Felix Triangle for President, which is currently in pre-production and Zahara, which is in postproduction.

King of modern music, Samini has made Ghana proud by being the first Ghanaian to grab Channel O award after many failed attempts by other Ghanaian musicians.

Samini picked the ‘Most Gifted Ragga Dancehall Video Artiste’ award with his ‘Dadiekye’, a track on his C.E.O album.

The awards took place at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa last night.

Charity Concert: Late Lucky Dube’s Daughter Nkulee Dube To Stage ‘The Hole-In-Heart Charity Concert’ In Ghana!

Nkulee Dube, the daughter of the late South African based reggae musician Lucky Dube is billed to stage a charity concert in Ghana dubbed ‘Hole-In-Heart Charity Concert In Ghana’ to raise funds to support children with the ‘hole-in-heart sickness.

The charity concert which is being organised by RAM Media Concept is to solicit for funds to provide funding for parents of children who have been diagnosed of the sickness but cannot afford to raise funds to cater for the operation or surgery.

Due to high cost of the surgery/operations, most of the parents are unable to meet the cost of the operations and therefore resort to the public for support.

On daily basis on Ghana television, parents of children with suffering from hole-in-heart disease has urged philanthropists to help them with funds to enable them pay for the surgery or operations of their wards.

The Hole-In-Heart patient is a person who goes through weak heart functioning or malfunctioning of the heart, or a part thereof. This anomaly in children is mostly caused by abuse of medication during pregnancy, genetic problems and hypertension induced by pregnancy.

The medical condition normally causes such patients to develop swollen body, pale eyes, body weakness, inability to walk properly, difficulties in breathing, weak hear growth.

Touched by the plights of many children who for no fault of theirs have to go through pains and psychological trauma after being diagnosed of the disease, RAM Media Concepts is putting this show together to raise funds to assist parents.

The concert will create awareness among Ghanaians to be conscious of the causes of hole-in-heart conditions and also for the need to support the Medical Centres in the country to provide quality services to the people of Ghana. It will also create a platform to conscientize parents about the causes of the disease and how to avoid practises that may cause the disease in their children.

 

For the realisation of the above aims is the reason Nkulee Dube, the daughter of the late musician will be coming down to Ghana. Also on the bill are Blakk Rasta and the Herbalist band, Nana Fynn, King Ayisoba and other supporting artistes.

The concert will be held in three cities in Ghana; Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi. The first of the shows will take place at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, La – Accra on Friday November 25, 2011.

The Kumasi Sports Stadium will be venue for the Kumasi show on Saturday November 26, 2011 with the Sekondi Sports Stadium in Takoradi completing the show on Sunday November 27, 2011.

RAM Media Concepts hopes to raise 100,000 Ghana Cedis or one billion from the show which will be managed by agencies within the Healthy Ministry of Ghana.

The concert is supported by the Multi Media Group of Companies; Multi TV, Adom FM, Joy FM, Hitz FM as well as www.ghanacelebrities.com.

Ticket for the show goes for 20 Ghana Cedis.

Celebrating Daddy Lumba [DL] On November 12 At Conference Centre! + He Will Release His 28 Album ‘Ko She Po’!

On Saturday November 12, 2011 at the Accra International Conference Centre, Imajin Advertising will be collaborating with Adom FM 106.3 to celebrate legendary highlife musician, Charles Kojo Fosu known in music circles as Daddy Lumba a.k.a. DL a.k.a. girl’s perfect.

The first edition of the event, ‘Legends & Legacy Ball’ to celebrate Ghanaian music legends will celebrate Daddy Lumba.



Being the first recipient of the award instituted to honour living legends, Daddy Lumba will join the audience as other musicians such as Rana, Castro, K.K. Fosu, Praye, Mzbel, Kofi B, Kofi Nti and others perform his own songs. It will be amazing how the man himself will relate to this new initiative.

In accepting and confirming to perform on the night, he told journalists that, he has accepted to be part o

f this event because, the fact that he has decided to be out of the public domain, unscrupulous individuals has taken it upon themselves to say all sorts of bad things about him.

He also pleaded with his numerous fans to come and see him perform live. He also promised to release his 28th album titled ‘Ko She Po’, literally means go burn the sea.

He is expected to make appearance on stage and perform only one song. The organisers in associ

Children's Azonto Dance Competition At The Ghana Music & Food Festival

Last Sunday at the Trade Fair Centre, the Ghana Music & Food Festival came to a successful end. The day was dubbed ‘Omo Tuo’ Delight Day and Family’s Day Out.

Right from church a lot of families drove over to come have a feel of the festival. Also, the success of the first two days added to Sunday’s attendance.

In addition to the Children’s Village, there was more for the children to enjoy as organizers put in place lots of activities and competitions where the winners were given prizes.
